Coastal arial view of Mission BeachThe history of Mission Beach is simple. It started out as a vacation stop for those from Los Angeles. A place to get away, to relax, pitch a tent and sleep right next to the waters edge. It was so enjoyable that many decided to stay for good! They bought lots and built their homes. They stayed within the boundaries of San Deigo but established their own community. Many residents to this day, dedicate themselves to keeping Mission Beach and the Bay area as pristine as ever.
